The International Airport “Galileo Galilei” of Pisa is the most important airport in Tuscany.
it is located alone 2 southeast kms of the center of Pisa.

The airport in Pisa has officially called Galileo Galilei, in honor to the physicist, philosopher and Italian astronomer been born in Pisa. It sustained that earth turned around the sun, but in that time its discovery was not well received from the Roman Catholic Church.
Only recently, in 1992, its name has finally been rehabilitated
